Sponsor Spotlight: Tri-City Subaru

Gift of Warmth 2023

On the rare penultimate day of February during a leap year, we are excited to highlight Tri-City Subaru in our Sponsor Spotlight!

Corporate community engagement can come in many shapes and sizes, and Tri-City Subaru knows this firsthand, with a decade-spanning, dedicated history of giving back.  They are proud to be the local movers and shakers of Subaru of America’s amazing Love Promise program, which is committed to helping, giving to and engaging with our community.

Aside from their involvement with CAPSC projects, Tri-City Subaru has its own community initiatives throughout the year, and their dedication to assisting those in need was recognized in 2023 with the Subaru Love Promise Customer and Community Commitment Award. This award nationally recognizes elite Subaru retailers who provide an exceptional customer experience at every interaction with Subaru. These retailers have also demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting passions and causes in their local communities in important areas such as the environment, community, health, education, and pets.

We are so pleased to highlight present an interview with Robert Arthur, Operations Manager at Tri-City Subaru.

Giving Tree 2023

We partnered up for one program and next thing we know we were involved in three or four great ways to support different needs within our community.

What is your role at Tri-City?

I have worked at Tri-City for over 20 years. I currently help run the dealerships and have the luxury of being our Community Love Promise Champion. I coordinate and get involved with everything Tri-City does to give back. We are committed to helping, giving to, and engaging with our community.

Tri-City is supporting CAPSC with raising money for the Fuel Assistance Program, supporting the domestic violence survivors program with a ‘giving tree’ and helping with a shoe distribution event for Family Resource Center Families AND doing a coat drive.  How did this all come about?

CAPSC is well known in the community and their mission/goals line right up with Tri-City’s community involvement initiatives. We partnered up for one program and next thing we know we were involved in three or four great ways to support different needs within our community.

Describe Tri-City’s history of community involvement and if there are individuals in your company who deserve special mention for their community support.

We have an amazing staff and there is no one individual that can do or does what we are able to do. It really takes the whole team’s efforts to accomplish the things we do and have the success that we have doing it.

How did you first learn about CAPSC, and what was your initial impression of their services?

I honestly don’t remember. We have done so much over the years. We’ve been part of the CAPSC Classic Golf Tournament, Gift of Warmth, Christmas Giving Tree, Winter Coat Drive, Operation Warm, and more.

Operation Warm 2024

Were there any particular individuals or staff members at the agency who made a significant impact on your experience, and why?

I like to thank your whole CAPSC team for the assistance they give us when finding a cause or group of community members that are in need. Caitlyn, Sophie, Melissa, and the rest of your team are amazing.

In your opinion, what are some of the reasons why local businesses should get involved with CAPSC?

The best part about CAPSC is they help our local community. The funds and community involvement all stays local and helps our neighbors within Strafford County. They know the community and understand/direct the help where the help is needed.

How else do you think companies can start to be more involved with their communities?  Where should they start?

I’d recommend companies link up with a partner like CAPSC. Organizations like this know when and where our community members need help.
