Summer Meal Sites

Come find our friendly faces on-site for breakfast and lunch throughout Strafford County.  These sites are open to all children aged 0-18 and do not require any registration or signup.

Dates and times, which vary by site, are posted below. All sites will be closed on June 19th and July 4th and 5th . Also be sure to follow us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to get updates about our meal sites.

Note: Due to changes in USDA rules for 2023, children will have to eat the meals at certain meal sites and will not be able to take meals to go.

Meal Sites

Each of these summer meals sites require kids to pick up their meals and eat on site. Breakfast and lunch will be served at these sites.

DOVER

Meals served Monday through Friday, June 17th-August 16th, at:

Rutland Manor: Breakfast at 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

ROCHESTER

Meals served Monday through Friday, June 17th-August 16th, at:

Rochester Head Start: Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and Lunch at 12:00 p.m.
Rochester Housing: Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and Lunch at 12:30 p.m.

SOMERSWORTH

Meals served Monday through Friday, June 17th-August 16th, at:

Somersworth Housing Authority: Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and Lunch at 12:00 p.m.

Bagged Weekly Meal Sites

Each of these sites are grab and go, where kids can pick up their meals for the week and bring it home. Meals will include breakfast and lunch.

BARRINGTON

Meals served each week on certain days, June 17th-August 21st, at:

Barrington Middle School: Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

FARMINGTON

Meals served each week on certain days, June 17th-August 21st, at:

The Goodwin Library: Mondays from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Elizabeth Fernald Park: (starting 7/10/24) Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

LEE

Meals served each week on certain days, June 17th-August 21st, at:

Friend-Lee Pets: Mondays from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Meal Support for Schools and Summer Camps

In addition to our meal sites, we also provide meals to afterschool programs, summer camps, and summer schools throughout the county through our participation with CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program). These sites are sometimes open to the public, but if you’re looking for nutrition support for your program, please contact us.

What’s to Eat?

Wholesome, nutritious, and delicious meals are prepared daily by serve-safe certified cooks in professional kitchens, and meet United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services guidelines.

Summer Meals

CAPSC offers the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)/Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at all distribution sites. CACFP is a federal program that provides monetary reimbursement to organizations so they can offer healthier meals and snacks to children. Meals are available to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability.
