“Hey Siri, set a reminder to donate to CAPSC for NH Gives on June 6!”
Each year, NH Gives facilitates a massive, statewide donation day, with all donated monies directly benefiting New Hampshire nonprofit organizations. As one of the nonprofits involved, Community Action Partnership of Strafford County is looking to raise donations that will go directly to strengthening each and every one of our programs.
Why should you donate to CAPSC?
Our 60 coordinated programs keep people in their homes, keep their homes warm, nurture students’ learning and emotional development, ensure families don’t go hungry, and allow seniors to live independently. True 57 years ago, and true today, we need your financial support!
“Food and security is a real thing and when families have pride and don’t ask for help, CAPSC steps right up. Hunger is something we’re trying to eradicate”
– Shawn McKinney, Dover Head Start Lead Teacher
When is NH Gives?
NH Gives begins at 5:00 p.m. on June 6th and ends at 5:00 p.m. on June 7th.

Donate and get double the impact
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, donations through CAPSC’s NH Gives page will be doubled dollar for dollar up to $1,000!
“If you live in Strafford County, it’s nice to give back in a way that affects the people around you.”
– Silas Garcia, Food Outreach Coordinator

Nearly 1 in 5 families in Strafford County participate in at least one of CAPSC’s programs. When we can fulfill a person’s basic needs, like shelter, food, and community, we are creating new, brighter futures not only for them, but also the greater community to which we all belong. We consider it our duty as citizens, and our mission as an organization. Donors like you make our work possible, and we are grateful for your investment.

Founded in 1965, CAPSC is the sole provider in Strafford County to offer a full suite of programs and services designed to have a measurable impact on the health and welfare of at-risk children, seniors, and people experiencing low incomes.
Without the services provided by our agency, many local residents would be without a means to provide for their basic needs, including food, education, child care, utilities assistance, transportation, housing, emergency shelter and access to other services.
