Kinship caregivers and their families.
Our Dover and Rochester Family Resource Centers offer, free of charge, classes for parents, play groups, all-family events, and drop-in parent and kinship caregiver support. There are no income limits or prerequisites to receive help or participate in our activities.
Whether at our Centers, family-oriented community events, or our program offerings in other areas of Strafford County, come on by! We’d love to meet you!

The challenges and stressors of family life are many, but you don’t have to go it alone! Our free parenting classes, playgroups, and community events offer parents and caregivers the support of knowledgeable family support specialists as well as the comfort of others in similar situations. The CAPSC Family Resource Center offices are located in Dover and Rochester, with community outreach and playgroups operating throughout Strafford County. We are open to the public, and we’d love to meet you!

Goodwin Health Van will be at our Dover location on Wednesdays. No appointment needed. Services that are provided:
- Preventative Health Screenings
- Sick Visits
- Chronic disease management
- Access to medications
- Help applying for housing, food stamps, WIC, TANF, disability benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, other health insurance, veterans benefits and more.
- Referrals to dental care. (Note: Due to a staffing shortage our dental centers cannot accept any new patients right now and have reduced hours of operation.)
- Referrals to substance misuse and mental health counseling at our health centers
- Referrals to family support and parent education at our Family Center
- Referrals to specialty care
