CAPSC Granted $10,000 From Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation
Yesterday, November 19, Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC) was named a beneficiary of grant funding provided by the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. CAPSC was one of 94 local Northeastern nonprofits to receive support from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
Across the Northeast, the Foundation has distributed over $1.6 Million to the 94 nonprofits, part of a larger national effort totaling $6.5 Million. This distribution of funds supports the Foundation’s mission “to provide the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness”.
This year, CAPSC was granted $10,000 to support its programs, mission and vision to end poverty. By providing financial support to CAPSC, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation helps support CAPSC’s central mission to reduce barriers to help clients improve their economic stability and well-being through education, advocacy and partnerships.
“One of the greatest parts of my role is the ability to give back to the communities that support our restaurants and the Dunkin’ brand,” said Victor Carvalho, a Northeast-based Dunkin’ franchisee and chair of the board of directors for the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. “Each year, we raise funds that are granted back to local organizations aligned with our mission of bringing children joy. It’s a great way to kick off the season of giving, truly making a difference.”

CAPSC Mission and Vision
Founded in 1965, CAPSC is the sole provider in Strafford County to offer a full suite of programs and services designed to have a measurable impact on the health and welfare of at-risk children, seniors, and people experiencing low incomes.
Without the services provided by our agency, many local residents would be without a means to provide for their basic needs, including food, education, child care, utilities assistance, transportation, housing, emergency shelter and access to other services.
