Fun facts about golf: Did you know that the average golfer has a 12,500 to 1 chance of making a hole-in-one, or that the first golf balls were made of feathers wrapped in leather? No? Us either, but let’s get out there and raise some money for the kids!
Facts about the number of families helped by the CAPSC Early Care and Education program in 2022.
On September 18, we will hold the 22nd annual CAPSC Golf Tournament fundraiser. Unlike our annual campaign which allocates donated funds to all of our important programs, the golf tournament raises money specifically for the Early Care and Education programs. This programs include Head Start, Early Head Start, and our Early Education programs located in Dover, Rochester, Somersworth, and Farmington. It’s a day filled with fun & friendship, but it is also our biggest fundraising event of the year!

As in past years, the tournament will be held on the lush, green fairways of the Cochecho Country Club. Cochecho is a shot maker’s course and is a challenge for players of all ability levels offering four sets of tees to provide maximum enjoyment for all ages. The course measures 6,210 yards from the Blue tees, 5,959 from the White, 5,432 from the Gold and 4,804 yards from the Green markers. The course is a Par 70, rated at 70.0 with a slope of 123 and the women’s par is set at 74.

Our Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Education programs go beyond standard early education and provide a holistic approach that benefits not just the child, but the whole family. Through our programs, children ages 0-5 grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and cognitively, in preparation for elementary education.
We thank the many members of our community who give their time, their skilled expertise, and their warm smiles in support of the programs at CAPSC. If you are interested in getting involved in one of our programs, we have many options.
Whether you are interested in a one-time event, or want to find a recurring volunteer spot, our goal is to try to match our needs with your interests, and to grow our family of caring individuals who give so much back to their community.
