CAPSC Changes Venue for Upcoming Concert

Press Release, October 17, 2025 –

After significant deliberation, Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC), has
made the decision to change the venue for our upcoming fundraiser scheduled for Friday, October 24th from The Music Hall in Portsmouth, to a new venue.

Yachtley Crew will now take the stage at Black Rock Social Club, a premier social club and
event space at 140 West Rd, Portsmouth. All proceeds from the event support the housing
programs and clients at Community Action.

Tickets to the event will allow guests early access to this new space, before it opens its doors
publicly in December. Doors will open at 6pm so attendees can experience the amenities of the
Black Rock Social Club such as racecar simulators, a golf simulator, and other fun pre-show
games. Yachtley Crew will take the stage at 7:30pm.

“In these uncertain times, our focus must remain on our mission. The recent cancellation of the
Lovering Health Center event and subsequent fallout with the venue are distracting from our
event, the ability to sell tickets and our purpose,” said Betsey Andrews Parker, Chief Executive
Officer, “As the CEO, it is my responsibility to safeguard our programs, the people we serve, and
the CAPSC team.”

At this time, CAPSC representatives are still working with The Music Hall to quickly gather
ticket sale information, to ensure that all ticketholders will receive new tickets with the updated
venue information. Soon, all ticketholders will receive an email containing updated ticket
information.

“We are so grateful to the generosity of partners like Black Rock Social Club, who are allowing
us to curate an elevated concert experience,” CAPSC Chief Executive Officer Betsey Andrews
Parker said, “Not only will this venue allow the show to go on, but it will take this event to a new
level that will keep everyone happy all night long. Similarly, Kate Malloy and her team at Purple
Finch Events have stepped in to help create a memorable event.”

CAPSC Mission and Vision

Founded in 1965, CAPSC is the sole provider in Strafford County to offer a full suite of programs and services designed to have a measurable impact on the health and welfare of at-risk children, seniors, and people experiencing low incomes.

Without the services provided by our agency, many local residents would be without a means to provide for their basic needs, including food, education, child care, utilities assistance, transportation, housing, emergency shelter and access to other services.
