The end of the Head Start year is always a special time for our families, teachers, and children. It’s an opportunity to celebrate friendships formed, skills developed, and the many milestones reached throughout the school year while looking ahead to all that comes next.
This year’s send-off was made even more memorable thanks to the generosity of Altrusa International of the Seacoast. Their donation of books, blankets, and stuffed animals added an extra dose of joy and wonder and created a magical moment for the kiddos to commemorate their accomplishments.
One of the highlights of the day was watching the children choose their gift bags. Each child’s face lit up as they picked a book and stuffed toy that spoke to them most, with classic favorites like The Cat in the Hat and The Very Hungry Caterpillar available, along with a cozy blanket to bring home for the summer. These donations will help encourage a love of reading while providing comfort long after the school year has ended. They also serve as a reminder of the caring community that support them.
We are grateful to Altrusa International of the Seacoast for making this celebration so meaningful. Their kindness brought endless smiles and pushed our Head Start children into summer with something special to call their own.
Thank you to all of the families, staff, donors, and volunteers who helped make this school year a success. We wish our Head Start families a safe, happy, and fun summer.
