Today, we are ecstatic to announce the winner of the 2024 Mission Award, Cindy J., whose unwavering dedication to the Domestic Violence Support program at Community Action Partnership of Strafford County has profoundly impacted the lives of many.

CAPSC’s Domestic Violence Housing Support program provides critical resources and advocacy.  For individuals experiencing domestic violence and needing a safe place to stay, this program is a vital lifeline.

Cindy’s Role in the CAPSC Mission

Cindy J. has been a pivotal figure in this program, tirelessly working to ensure every woman receives the help she needs to escape unsafe situations. Her tenacity in finding answers and solving problems has made her a trusted ally for countless survivors.

CAPSC’s Mission and Vision

Founded in 1965, CAPSC is the sole provider in Strafford County to offer a full suite of programs and services designed to have a measurable impact on the health and welfare of at-risk children, seniors, and people experiencing low incomes.

Without the services provided by our agency, many local residents would be without a means to provide for their basic needs, including food, education, child care, utilities assistance, transportation, housing, emergency shelter and access to other services.

Domestic Violence Housing Support

Whether currently in crisis or in preparation for a safer future, survivors can work with our staff to prevent homelessness, find shelter, apply for housing opportunities, and connect with local crisis centers and additional resources.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence and needs housing, we can help. Our aim is to help survivors feel safe, to prevent and minimize the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness, and to support self-sufficiency.
