Annual Celebration: Honoring 61 Years of Showing Up for Strafford County
On May 15, 2026, Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC) will host its Annual Celebration at 8:00 AM at The Oaks in Somersworth—marking more than 60 years of showing up for individuals and families across the region.
That work has never been more important.
Every day in Strafford County, households face tough choices—between rent and groceries, heat and childcare, stability and uncertainty. CAPSC exists to meet those moments with real, tangible support, offering programs that address food access, housing stability, early childhood education, and economic opportunity.
Over the past year alone, CAPSC served more than 24,000 people across the county. That number represents neighbors, families, and individuals—each with their own story—who turned to CAPSC for support and found a path forward.
What makes this work unique is its approach. Challenges like housing, food insecurity, and financial instability don’t happen in isolation, and neither do the solutions. CAPSC’s programs are designed to meet people where they are while helping them build toward long-term stability—not just getting through today but planning for what comes next.
The Annual Celebration is a chance to pause and recognize that impact. It brings together the people who make this work possible—staff, partners, donors, and community members—and highlights what can happen when a community commits to supporting one another.
It’s also a reminder that this work is ongoing. Community support helps ensure these programs remain strong, accessible, and ready for the next person who needs them.
After 60 years, the mission remains the same: to strengthen communities and help people move toward stability and opportunity. This event honors that legacy—and helps carry it forward.
Complimentary tickets for this free event are available online now at 2026 CAPSC Annual Celebration.
