At Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC), our mission is to reduce barriers that prevent people from meeting their basic needs and achieving long-term stability. One of the most common barriers facing older adults in our community is transportation.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that our Senior Transportation Program has expanded, adding new routes in Farmington and Milton.
Supporting Independence for Strafford County Seniors
CAPSC’s Senior Transportation Program provides door-to-door transportation for Strafford County residents age 60 and older, helping seniors access essential destinations in their communities. These trips may seem simple, but they play a critical role in helping older adults maintain independence, create new social connections and have access to the services they rely on.
The program currently provides transportation routes for seniors in:
-
Durham
-
Dover
-
Farmington
-
Gonic
-
Lee
-
Rochester
-
Rollinsford
-
Somersworth
-
Milton
Through the program, seniors can schedule rides to:
-
Grocery stores
-
Shopping plazas
-
Pharmacies
-
Other essential errands
For many older adults—especially those who no longer drive—transportation can be the difference between having reliable access to food, medication, and daily necessities or going without.
The expansion of the Senior Transportation Program reflects CAPSC’s continued commitment to ensuring that older adults in Strafford County can safely access essential services and maintain their independence.
Seniors interested in using the transportation service can register through TripLink by calling 603-834-6010.
